R Train ~ Sunset Park ~ 6:45pm

Well the fishing wasn't any good but it sure was excellent to get away. For the first time in my life I was heading the same direction as the many multitudes of Spring Breakers. This time though I was headed back to my birthplace of Daytona Beach with kids in tow. I know, not quite the same. It was amazing to be away from a computer for 8 days. Not to mention the subway and all that is NYC. I found myself sitting in the back yard wondering if I really did make photos on the subway. And why? And how? I can see how a person living in another town can have many questions about these photos. I have them myself. And tomorrow I'll try and remember how it was I did make these photos.

As far as this photo goes, can't you just see these boys in 20, 30 and 40 years?! I have many photos of this exact same scene only the age is different. Everyone works hard and catches some shut eye when every and where every they can.

The flowers are in full bloom in Brooklyn.

  9. Travis,

I am trying to understand why you feel this way. Please, try to rememeber why you take these photos. I know for some reason you might have felt there is more to the world than this website but believe me when I say you are a positive attribute to the world. It is bigger than you think. You are an inspiration. Yes you are capturing history in the making and nyc in the making. Best wishes, Tania.
