   I like how the green signal and the blue light bounce off of the many shiny surfaces of the station.

   Nice work on this one, especially with the coffee cup.

   I LOVE this picture! I think that it's just composed so beautifully. And even though the point of focus is on the coffee cup--an inanimate object--somehow it has this great effect of making me think of humanity even more. It makes me wonder who was drinking that coffee... and did they realize that in leaving it there, they had created a piece of art? Just nice.

   Now that it is officially illegal to drink coffee on the subway, I have begun to buy a cup in advance of my commute solely to enjoy the thrill of defying yet another ridiculous rule enacted in the name of "Quality of Life." I wait for the day some young rookie decides to fine me $50 for a .60 cup of joe in order to fill his quota. I'll sit there, sipping slowly, feeling the silent empathy of my fellow riders. When crime is down, don't you know, they'll just invent new rules.

   That coffee cup is in such a dangerous place, it makes me nervous.
   Al - Seriously you're kidding that it's illegal to drink coffee on the subway? I've wracked my brain to try and determine the thought behind that, but I can't come up with anything. Ridiculous!

   I see trash. The cup is trash. It will end up on the tracks. Who knows, maybe it'll even start a track fire! Wooo!

   The person who left it thoughtless and lazy.

   It's almost like a ghost of a panhandler---as this is a very NY type of paper cup, they've even made a vinyl version of the cup with a zipper on top and called it "Beggar's Purse" http://store.yahoo.com/wishingfish1/luckybeggar.html
