Chambers Street ~ 9:15am

  1. Superb spot Travis, great composition, so much to look at yet such an uncluttered frame. Well done, again!

  2. Fabulous use of natural elements to frame your subject! Love the grit in this shot. Well done.

  3. all you need is the fresh-urine stink of chambers street, and you have captured what it is like to wait for the JMZ. perfect.

  4. great shot.

  5. Amazing how much can be done with the poor lighting in the subway. This is a really cool shot!! Looks like he's posing at a music video shoot tho, sans the cameras. Nice capture, Travis.

  6. Ah New Yoik. I'll be out there again at the end of March (I'm a Londoner) and I can't wait. Doubt I'll be able to shoot anything as good as your stuff but I'll certainly try.

As an aside, would you mind if I quickly told your viewers that today is the 100th image posted on my photoblog? You can see #100 itself at:

Thank you very much indeed sir.

  7. Travis, I love your "almost empty" shots. Of course, you knew I would.

This picture shows the slow decay of the infrastructure, but no signs that anyone is addressing the problem. This just say grit and loneliness to me.

And again....all that tile. A million miles if laid end to end, of once gleaming white tile.

  8. looks like prison.
