F train ~ over Carroll Gardens ~ 9pm

It's a different train the later you're on after rush hour.

Express Train news:
Closing in on the one-year anniversary of this little project this Friday. To celebrate the occasion I think a drink is in order. And what better place than the Subway Inn? Not many bars like this left in this town. If you've been looking for an excuse to stop in at the Inn, here it is. I'm going to shoot to get there at 9pm this Friday night. And yeah there is a subway stop 5 feet from the front door. Hope to see you there.

  1. looks like he was a bit sceptica, but somehow to tired to react. did he say anything afterwards ? :D

  2. Bored with style...

  3. Wow, if looks could kill. What was the conversation like after this shot? He's either posing or pissed that you're taking his photo. I totally love your shots. They are really inspiring to get over my fear of shooting folks this close up. Nice one!

  4. Time for an anger management class?

  5. His comment was something to the effect of why are you taking pictures? It was a difficult situation because I liked the scene but the train was slowly crawling on the elevated tracks over Carrol Gardens. It was very quite. So when the shutter tripped he was not surprised. I gave him a quick answer and gave him one of my cards. He didn't seem too offended. I think he was more confused about why anyone would be taking photos without a clear reason. For some reason a "photoblog" was not quite making sense to him. Or maybe he's looking at this now and would like to weigh in.

  6. Thats quite a look. You have no fear taking pictures of anyone do you? Isnt it a general rule not to make eye contact with people on the subway. You defy this rule almost every day.

  7. He's almost giving you the stinkeye
