Uptown 6 train ~ 9:30am

  1. Exhausted

  2. While Executive officer literally refers to a person responsible for the performance of duties involved in running an organization, the exact meaning of the role is highly variable, depending on the organization. The XO also takes charge in the absence of the commander, and the position is frequently a stepping stone to a command position.

  3. I love that you included his right hand clutching the bar - that adds a lot.

  4. Very close up, very young....no worry lines, little experience.

  5. Looks like the man had a long day at work. That's rush hour for you.

  6. I just love this shot. I currently have all of your images on my hard-drive in my lab and have them on a slide-show for my tutor group (I'm a teacher in Plymouth, England)) and then we sometimes talk about how they make us feel. Love it, keep going, NEVER stop. Would love a large beautiful book with these in and with the comments on a facing page. You wouldn't have to do the work yourself, it would be easy to set up and prepare. It would be a wonderful commentary on life in NYC.

  7. We've all been there. That moment when the day is over but not quite, and all we want is to be home.

    Outstanding work.

  8. Is it just me or does he look like Philip Seymour Hoffman?
I agree with Chili, the hand really ads an 'angle' to this shot.
(How in the world do you manage to photograph people so upclose?! People here in Lisbon generally freakout if a camera is pointed at them...)
