Grand Central Station ~ 6:10am

HOT, HOT, HOT! 90 plus temps and 90% humidity. I don't have to tell you how much fun it is squezzing onto a train under conditions like this. Yikes.

  1. Yes Travis, this is how I picture the subway - a mass of humanity. This is such an interesting photograph - here and there in the mass there's a profile or a full face in focus. All these people looking to exit or enter the train. It seems like chaos, but there must be some unwritten rules of conduct in situations like this. Most notable to me are the young girl exiting the train and the beautiful tall dark skinned woman in profile on the right. It takes a certain kind of personality to put yourself in this situation twice a day, day after day. Not mine I'm afraid. I'd be wanting to chat and interview everyone. HA.

  2. what is interesting to me is that in that mass of people, not one looked up and noticed the camera. shows how much these busy commuters are all in their own isolated worlds

  3. that sure is some rush in the train. nice shot!

  4. This is an interesting perspective. Great capture of the crowds. Were you standing on a bench?
